According to Yemen official news agency Saba, the enemy warplanes launched airstrikes on al-Sabeen area on Monday evening. During the brutal attack, Saudi warplanes extensively damaged the al-Sabeen Hospital for Motherhood and Childhood and many nearby houses. So far no casualties have been reported.
Elsewhere, the coalition warplanes struck at dawn on Monday the western side of the capital Sana`a targeting the Gas Company at Asser area.
The capital`s fire crew suffered for hours until putting out the fire set on the Company by the bombing, the official said.
This is not the first time Saudi warplanes are d r o pping bombs on hospitals in Yemen. Early December last year Aid agency Doctors Without Borders (MSF) blamed the Saudi-led coalition of bombing its medical facility in southwest Yemen, wounding nine people in what it said was "a violation of international law".
Two MSF staff were among those wounded when a clinic run by the aid agency in Taez, Yemen`s third-largest city, was struck by Saudi warplanes on the second of December.
Late October, Saudi regime jets d r o pped bombs on a hospital in north Yemen run by medical aid group MSF in Heedan district of Saada province. "It could be a mistake, but the fact of the matter is it`s a war crime. There`s no reason to target a hospital.
We provided (the coalition) with all of our GPS coordinates about two weeks ago," MSF country director Hassan Boucenine said.
The Saudi regime and its allies began a military aggression against Yemen – without a UN mandate – on March 26 to stop advances of the Ansarullah movement which is backed by the country`s army and Popular Committees. The Saudi regime intends to restore fugitive former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi to power.
During the last nine months of the Saudi war on Yemen, at least 7,700 people have been killed mostly civilians including women and children.
The illegal war on Yemen has also inflicted damages on hundreds of important installations in the civilian infrastructure including hospitals, schools, mosques, residential quarters, water reservoirs etc.
